Mobile Phone (Household) follows the definition of SDG indicator 5.b.1 to enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.

Note: This indicator deviates from SDG 5.b.1 as it is composed at the household level and includes either men or women aged 15-49 that own a mobile phone in the household.

Data Source: MICS
The following data are considered for this analysis:
• Households: Households are considered as owning a mobile phone if any household member owns mobile telephone.

The standard LNOB analysis for the Mobile Phone (Household) includes the following circumstances:
• Wealth of the household: top 60 or bottom 40 (of the wealth distribution)
• Residence: urban or rural
• Highest Education level: lower (primary or less), secondary or higher
