Tertiary education (attended, 35+ yrs) measures the proportion of individuals older than 35 who have attended higher education. It broadly corresponds to SDG indicator 4.3.1 Participation rate of youth and adults in formal and non-formal education and training in the previous 12 months.

The following data are considered for this analysis:
• Individuals: women and men ages 35 and older (HL - Household Questionnaire at the individual level)
• Tertiary education is defined as any education beyond upper secondary. In Vanuatu's MICS report, post-secondary non-tertiary education category is combined with tertiary, so here it is counted as tertiary education.
The standard LNOB analysis for the Tertiary education (attended, 35+ yrs) indicator includes the following circumstances:
• Wealth of the household: top 60 or bottom 40 (of the wealth distribution)
