Internet usage broadly follows the definition of SDG indicator 17.8.1 Proportion of individuals using the internet.

Data Source: MICS
The following data is considered for this analysis:
• Individuals: women ages 15-49 (WM-Individual Women's Survey)
• Use of the internet: in the past 3 months.

The standard LNOB analysis for Internet usage includes the following circumstances:
• Wealth of the household: top 60 or bottom 40 (of the wealth distribution)
• Residence: urban or rural
• Education level: lower (primary or less), secondary or higher
• Age group: 15-24, 25-34, 35-49

Note: This indicator can be estimated for men and women together using 2024 MICS. However, only women's internet use is reported here to ensure accurate comparability with 2019 MICS where men's recode was not available.
