Mobile Phone (Individual) follows the definition of SDG indicator 5.b.1 to enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.

Note: The results currently include both men and women aged 15-49 who responded to the respective question on mobile phone ownership.

Data Source: DHS
The following data are considered for this analysis:
• Individuals: women and men ages 15 - 49 (IR-Individual Recode for women and MR - Male Recode for men)

The standard LNOB analysis for Mobile phone ownership (Individual) includes the following circumstances:
• Wealth of the household: top 60 or bottom 40 (of the wealth distribution)
• Residence: urban or rural
• Education level: lower (primary or less), secondary or higher
• Sex: male or female
• Age group: 15-24, 25-34, 35-49
