Mobile Phone (Individual) follows the definition of SDG indicator 5.b.1 to enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.

Data Source: MICS

The following data are considered for this analysis:
• Individuals: women and men ages 15 - 49 (WM-Individual Women's Survey and MN-Individual Men's Survey)

The standard LNOB analysis for the mobile phone ownership (individual) includes the following circumstances:
• Wealth of the household: top 60 or bottom 40 (of the wealth distribution)
• Education level: lower (primary or less), secondary or higher
• Sex: male or female
• Age group: 15-24, 25-34, 35-49

Note: Starting from MICS 7, relative weights for women/men combined sample are used instead of women's/men's sample weight.
