Informal employment measures the proportion of employed individuals who are daily waged workers, salaried/wage workerks without written agreements, contributing family workers, paid interns or apprentices without agreements or unpaid family members. It broadly follows the definition of SDG indicator 8.3.1 which measures the proportion of informal employment in total employment.

The following data are considered for this analysis:
• Individuals: All employed individuals aged 15+
The standard LNOB analysis for Informal Employment includes the following circumstances:
• Education: none, primary, secondary or post-secondary
• Residence: urban, rural or estate
• Sex: female or male
• Age group: 15-24, 25-64 or 65+
• Number of children under 5: 0, 1, 2 or 3+.
• Sector: Agriculture/natural resources, Industry/construction, Trade/private services (Services I),or Public/social services (Services II).
