Mobile Phone (Household) follows the definition of SDG indicator 5.b.1 to enhance the use of enabling technology, in particular information and communications technology, to promote the empowerment of women.
Note: This indicator deviates from SDG 5.b.1 as it is composed at the household level and includes either men or women aged 15-49 that own a mobile phone in the household.
Data Source: MICS
The following data are considered for this analysis:
• Households: Households are considered as owning a mobile phone if any household member owns mobile telephone.
KiribatiMICS2019Disability
The analysis "including disability", is formulated with additional circumstances added to the standard model. Kiribati 2019 MICS includes the following classifications of disability:
• No difficulty
• Some difficulty
• Severe difficulty*
* MICS has two answers (3) a lot of difficulty & (4) Cannot "see/hear/walk..." at all. For our analysis we consider 3&4 as "Severe difficulty"
